Ways to enjoy your potatoes
Potatoes are undoubtedly one of the most popular staple foods and it’s not hard to see why. They go well with almost anything, but they taste well on their own too. Here are some delicious ways you can enjoy your potatoes:
Nothing completes a Sunday dish like a potato salad. It’s rich in flavour, nutrients and colour. The best part? It’s easy to make as well. You just need to boil potatoes and eggs and season them lightly with table salt. Once the boiled ingredients have cooled down, peel off the potato skin and eggshells. Dice the potatoes and eggs, then mix with mayonnaise and parsley before you sprinkle some Aromat. There’s a lot you can add to a potato salad but there’s no better combination than this one. It’s one of the many egg recipes that will never get old!
This is probably the best way to enjoy potatoes: sliced, fried and salted to satisfy your hunger. Not only do loaded fries taste amazing but they’re filling as well. Homemade potato chips
Did you know that you can make your potato chips in the comfort of your home? Believe it or not, making them yourself is a cheaper and healthier alternative. All you need is potatoes, salt and olive oil. Peel and slice potatoes paper thin and place into a large bowl of cold water, then drain and rinse the potatoes. Refill the bowel, add salt and let the potatoes soak in the salted water for at least 30 minutes before draining again. Then heat the olive oil in a deep fryer to 185 °C and fry the potatoes until they’re golden. Once you remove them from the fryer place them on paper towns to drain. For a burst of flavour, add some peri-peri seasoning.
