Food that is healthier than junk food 

Working a regular 9-5 while trying to eat healthy isn’t always easy. It often requires prep time that you may not necessarily have the energy for.

You may be trying to eat healthier to cut down on junk food for detoxing purposes or just to give your body a break. Whatever your reason, we have some tips to help you stick to your health plan despite the odd temptation of your colleagues ordering junk food during lunch.   

Yip, these ideas are THAT delicious! 

 

Egg and avocado sandwich

All you need is a boiled egg, an avocado and 2 slices of toasted bread. Mash an avocado separately and add your favourite Aromat seasoning before spreading it on toast and topping with  slice of boiled egg. This yummy sandwich is packed with protein and is pretty easy to make. 

 

Mixed fruit smoothie

If you need something to satisfy your hunger while you’re on the go, then a smoothie is a great option. To make this you’ll need 2 sliced bananas, 2 cups of sliced frozen strawberries, 2 cups of sliced frozen peaches, 2 cups of low-fat strawberry yoghurt and 2 cups of milk. Combine all these ingredients into a blender until smooth. This recipe is enough for two so share it with a friend or keep some for later.

 

Strawberry and mixed green salad

If you’re feeling for a salad, just know that this one is tasty and may just become a favourite! Chop a few leaves of lettuce, a tomatoe, a few strawberries, an avocado and half a yellow pepper then mix them together in a bowl.  Add a salad dressing of your choice, slices of grilled chicken or fish seasoned with Aromat chilli beef and you have a salad worthy eating! 

 

Egg and cheese toast

This classic sandwich is just what you need for a yummy meal that requires minimal effort. Start by toasting two slices of bread. Heat two tablespoons of butter on a non-stick frying pan over medium to high heat. Once the butter has melted, break 2 eggs into the pan and reduce the heat and fry the eggs to your desired consistency. Once eggs are ready place them on the bread, sprinkle a bit of Aromat cheese on top, then add grated cheese on both slices. Yum!

 

These meals are much healthier option than junk food and they don’t take long to prepare. Add some Aromat and you’re sure to have a tasty dish that’s packed with flavour!
