DIY Sauce: How to be head chef in your kitchen

When you’re making something from scratch, ensuring that your final product comes out more or less how you intended it to, should be your first priority – but don’t worry because we’re here to help.
Most people prefer to buy their cooking ingredients ready made for convenience sake as it saves a lot of time. However, if you’re on a tight budget or feel inspired and you’re against buying ready-made sauce, why not try making your own by using basic ingredients you probably have in your home?
It is much cheaper to create your own sauce and will not take too much of your time. Here are a few tips on how to sauce it up to perfection using Aromat
Pizza sauce does not only have to be consumed when making homemade pizza and using pizza dough. You can top bread dough with pizza sauce along with other toppings. We’ll call it pizza bread and it doesn’t require any complicated ingredients. Mix together a few grated tomatoes, 1 tsp. oil, ½ tsp. sugar, 1 tsp. oregano, garlic powder, and a shake of Aromat for an extra kick.
The secret to being a professional ‘braaier’ is to ensure your meat is seasoned differently than others. So, mix together your favourite spices along with a teaspoon of Peri-Peri Aromat Seasoning. Alternatively, mix Italian herbs, garlic powder, Chilli Beef Seasoning, onion powder and ground pepper together with oil and Worcestershire sauce and marinade overnight. You could also coat your chicken with Aromat Peri-Peri and bake for a Portugese flavour.
If you’re looking for a bit of oomph for your broccoli, then we know exactly what the missing ingredient is… Cheese Aromat! After melting butter for your white sauce and mixing in the flour, sprinkle in some Aromat Cheese before stirring in the milk. You won’t even need to add grated cheese to your broccoli! You can also use this cheese sauce to pour over french fries, egg and meat proteins.
Feel free to experiment despite having a tight budget and ensure you make use of the spices that you already have in your kitchen. Remember, everything tastes much better with a little bit of Aromat.
